The stardust has settled down so let’s recap the first-ever Sacred Rose Festival. Opening up a new bracket for Chicago by seasoned festival producers, Sacred Rose certainly had some highs and some lows but one thing is for sure Sacred Rose was one for the ages and one we hope will return.

There will be dancing in the aisles once again as the Grateful Dead return to cinemas worldwide for the 2022 Meet-Up At The Movies!

This year, we’re celebrating the 50th Anniversary of Europe ‘72, by bringing the previously unreleased Tivoli Concert Hall, 4/17/72 performance to the big screen on Tuesday, November 1st with additional screenings across the U.S., Canada, and select territories on Saturday, November 5th.

Chicago’s new multi-genre festival SACRED ROSE happening at SeatGeek Stadium this weekend (August 26 - 28, 2022) invites fans to experience a once in a lifetime musical moment via PPV live stream of performances by Phil Lesh & Friends (PHILCO) featuring Jeff Tweedy & Nels Cline of Wilco + more; AND Joe Russo’s Almost Dead.

WHO/WHEN: Phil Lesh & Friends (aka PHILCO) – Friday, August 26 at 9PM CT

The inaugural Sacred Rose Fest is less than 2 weeks away. For the first time ever there will be a weekend full of music as diverse as the Grateful Dead in its current form. Phil Lesh playing with Nels Cline and Jeff Tweedy as well as Karl Denson, Stu Allen, Grahame Lesh, Jeff Chimenti, and Elliott Peck all in one headlining slot!?! Khruangbin, JRAD, Umphrey’s McGee, Disco Biscuits, Lotus, Elliott Peck’s Midnight North, Holly Bowling, and the Gone Gone Beyond are kicking it all off?!? The list is exciting and inviting.

So you’ve scored your passes to Sacred Rose Festival and you’re ready to make a game plan. Gone Gone Beyond is at noon thirty on a Friday. So you check into the Super 8 on 79th and Roberts on Thursday night before (8/25/22), and you get a pie. It’s Thirsty Thursday and there are several options for fun depending on what you're into. But first, get a pie.

The String Cheese Incident rolled into their final night of their annual Red Rocks run with all cylinders firing, and while it was with utmost disappointment the band announced Phil Lesh would no longer be joining them due to a positive COVID test, a “good friend” would be stepping in to support and honor the music and spirit of the Grateful Dead.

July 19 UPDATE: Following a recent mild case of COVID-19 that kept Phil Lesh from performing with The String Cheese Incident at Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Colorado on July 17, it has now been confirmed that Phil Lesh & Friends will indeed deliver a headlining performance Friday, July 22 at the single-day Bluegrass and Beyond Festival at Lake Tahoe.

Phil Lesh & Friends will deliver on Friday, July 22, a headlining performance to what promises to be a dandy of a single-day Bluegrass and Beyond Festival at world-famous Lake Tahoe, which straddles the borders of California and Nevada. Attendees at the general admission fest will be serenaded by 10 free-spirited bands on two stages at the Hard Rock Outdoor Area, adjacent to the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Lake Tahoe (https://bluegrassbeyond.com).
