Brooklyn beat ensemble, the Pimps of Joytime, have tacked on a string of west-focused dates to their 2016 touring itinerary. Intriguing pairings with Orgone, Big Sam’s Funky Nation and Leftover Salmon highlight the group's two-week run of the west this spring. Tickets go on sale today, Jan. 15 at 12pm PST.

Riding the wave of their 2015 album release, Jukestone Paradise, today, the Pimps of Joytime announce a whirlwind 2015 Fall Tour.

Performing their latest Brooklyn-bred funk and dance tunes, the group's high-energy tour kicks off in Burlington, VT Oct. 1 at Higher Ground. Highlight performances will include Chicago, IL Oct. 9 at Martyrs', Phases of the Moon Music & Arts Festival Oct. 16 in Ozark, AK, Halloween at the Gothic Theater in Englewood, CO Oct. 31, and the Fillmore in San Francisco, CA Nov. 14.

Brooklyn’s Pimps of Joytime announce their highly anticipated third studio album, Jukestone Paradise, forthcoming on April 7, 2015 on their Write Home Records imprint.  The quintet showcases their kaleidoscope of influences by weaving ten new songs through their musical tapestry.  Special guests on the album include New Orleans funk leader Ivan Neville and Rubblebucket’s Alex Toth.

Something about San Francisco feels like a home-away-from-home for the Brooklyn-based Pimps of Joytime, whose infectious, funk-ridden grooves celebrate the simple joy of an all out dance party. The genre-bending ensemble was all smiles when asked about their upcoming back-to-back shows March 22 and 23 at the Independent.
