Red Rocks Amphitheatre

Today, Greensky Bluegrass, the Michigan bred alt/Americana and roots band announced brand new fall tour dates which include stops in San Diego, San Francisco, Blue Lake, Eugene, Portland, Kalamazoo, and Atlanta.

The String Cheese Incident rolled into their final night of their annual Red Rocks run with all cylinders firing, and while it was with utmost disappointment the band announced Phil Lesh would no longer be joining them due to a positive COVID test, a “good friend” would be stepping in to support and honor the music and spirit of the Grateful Dead.

First performance together since both bands (The String Cheese Incident + Leftover Salmon) have been inducted into the Colorado Music Hall of Fame in the Official Class of 2021.
Show covers include The Grateful Dead and Bob Marley.

Live Rowdy, Live Loudly, Stay Up Late, Make Peace, Make Music. These words are the mission statement of Leftover Salmon as they have inspired and helped pave the way for many bands to break free of traditional bluegrass and explore the genre in a more contemporary direction. As a fan, photographer, and writer it seems the band's intentions are simply this - we will melt your face, open your mind and heart with artistic expression, and spread as much love and positivity as we can in the process.

Tradition is often what defines a people as a culture and all tradition is born out of habit. Some habits are good and some not so much, while others are just plain bad ass. Like Widespread Panic and their annual multi-day runs at Red Rocks Amphitheatre, another staple can be counted on at the world’s most iconic and scenic outdoor venue.

Jerry Garcia’s 80th birthday celebration was celebrated a little bit early last night at Red Rocks Amphitheatre. Some birthdays are just too big, so when the stars align you just do it. Jerry was born on August 1st, 1942, and sadly departed planet earth on August 9th, 1995. He will always live in our hearts, minds and souls. Jerry was a beacon of light and inspiration moving brightly through our lives.

Friday night, Widespread Panic returned once again to Red Rocks Amphitheatre for their annual celebratory get down.  As per the usual, the band performed to a sold out crowd on the opening night of three and brought their southern heat to the faithful.

Rock behemoths Umphrey’s McGee descended upon the legendary Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Morrison, Colorado this Friday for their first of two shows, delivering an all-encompassing set of classics, new tunes, sit-ins and covers, including an emotional rendition of the Queen and David Bowie classic “Under Pressure” featuring the great Jennifer Hartswick of Trey Anastasio Band on vocals.

The Infamous Stringdusters have a long storied career as a band spanning sixteen years of musical magic. You can say they are traditional folk musicians with bluegrass roots and style, or you can simply say they are the masters of jam improvisation and all things in-between, and wherever the music lands on your soul is where it lives and grows into your own personal utopia.
