Shakedown Street

While every state has their bevy of Grateful Dead cover bands, Colorado is proud to put Shakedown Street at the top of their list. Playing shows all over the Front Range and Rocky Mountains, they’ve built themselves into the beloved act they are today. Even Rob Eaton of Dark Star Orchestra plays with members on occasion when jamming around Colorado.

This is Dylan Muhlberg of Grateful Web here with legendary organ and piano man Melvin Seals. Melvin has been a strong presence in American Rock and Soul music for well over thirty years. He was tapped by Jerry Garcia to join his band in 1980 and remained a member for the rest of the band's thirteen-year tenure. We are so thrilled to have you with us, Melvin.

Z2 Entertainment is proud to present Shakedown Street featuring Melvin Seals to the Boulder Theater on Friday, March 29th, 2013.  Tickets will go on sale to the public on Friday, February 15th, 2013 at 10:00 am for $15 general admission. One of the longest running Grateful Dead tribute bands in the world, Shakedown Street, makes its home in and around the Rocky Mountain region of North America

Nostalgic sentiment was running high at the Fox Theater (more photos) on August 17th as Shakedown Street took the stage.  This may always be the case to some extent when Shakedown Street plays, as they are a well-known Grateful Dead tribute band, a concept
