Tedeschi Trucks Band

Metropolitan Entertainment today announces the return of Tedeschi Trucks Band to the Beacon Theatre for the seventh consecutive year.  Continuing their tradition of multiple-night residencies at the famed New York City venue, Tedeschi Trucks Band lines up another half-dozen electrifying performances scheduled for October.

The Tedeschi Trucks Band displayed in Oakland, California, why its stock has vaulted the group toward the top echelon of touring outfits and headlining roles at many-a-music festival. Anchored by a couple of blues-rock stalwarts, each with a consummate musical pedigree, the husband-and-wife team of Susan Tedeschi and Derek Trucks presided over the 12-piece ensemble’s performance on Sept. 8 that was all at once brilliant, exhilarating, wide-ranging, and classy.

Saturday at Lockn’ was a beautiful sigh between Phish’s weekend bracketing headlining sets.  And the sigh is this: the scene is in a great place now. With the music of the Grateful Dead as a sustaining anchor, jam, electronic music, Americana, and Indie bands are forging a great new collective chapter in authentic, improvised American music.

“We Rainbow Girls are normally at festivals because we are scheduled to play them,” said multi-instrumentalist Caitlin Gowdey, 27, “but High Sierra is the only festival I will always go to even if I have to pay for my ticket.”

Austin City Limits (ACL) caps a standout Season 41 with a sensational hour of music from American roots superstars Tedeschi Trucks Band in their ACL debut.  The hour-long season finale premieres Saturday, February 13th at 8pm CT/9pm ET.

On January 29th, 2016 Tedeschi Trucks Band, led by the husband-and-wife team of singer-guitarist Susan Tedeschi and guitar virtuoso Derek Trucks, will cap an extraordinary and transformative year with the release of Let Me Get By, their third full-length LP and debut for Fantasy Records. There is a place filled with nothing but greatness, where virtuous vibes fly like the swallows of Capistrano, and magical music frees the spirit to glide up her own personal stairway to heaven. There is a place where heady humans come to swim together in a sea of awesomeness with kindness in their hearts and love in their souls.
