Wellmont Theater

The Wellmont Theater, located in the sprawling New York City suburb of Montclair, NJ, hosted moe. last Saturday, January 21, 2023 for an evening of exploratory rock and roll. This show marked the fourth time the band has played at the Garden State venue. This was also the fourth show back for guitarist Chuck Garvey, who suffered a stroke in late 2021.

Montclair, NJ was the place to be last Saturday night, as Joe Russo's Almost Dead packed the historic Wellmont Theater to cap off another enjoyable three night run in this vibrant New York City suburb. The line to enter the show wrapped around the corner as dead heads of all ages eagerly awaited a mind melting performance by this talented quintet, and they were not disappointed.

Joe Russo’s Almost Dead kicked off their three night run at the Wellmont Theater in Montclair, NJ last Thursday to a packed house on a warm fall evening. This run was rescheduled from just over a year ago as a result of the covid-19 pandemic. Despite an injury to Tom Hamilton, the band delivered their unique take on the Grateful Dead without a hitch and made many new fans in the process.

The Jersey Shore musical group has been recording albums since 1976 and is closely associated with the biggest New Jersey rock musicians – including Bruce Springsteen & the E Street Band and Jon Bon Jovi. Bon Jovi introduced the group into the New Jersey Hall of Fame late last year, while Springsteen appeared on the band’s 1991 album, “Better Days.” In fact, more than one hundred musicians can claim to have been members of the Asbury Jukes. World-famous rock group, The Spin Doctors, will be playing the Wellmont Theater in Montclair, N.J., on Friday, Jan. 24. They’ll be joined by The Uprooted Band featuring Michael Glabicki of Rusted Root, along with James Maddock.

Citizen Cope, whose music has long enthralled fans of numerous genres, comes to Montclair, N.J.’s Wellmont Theater on Dec. 28, in a performance that will help the premier venue close out its slate of 2019 shows.

Come ring in the New Year with the Wellmont Theater in Montclair, N.J., which will host prominent Grateful Dead tribute band, Dark Star Orchestra from Dec. 30 – 31. It will be a festive evening of ’Dead tunes plus New Year’s Eve goodies like hats, décor and a balloon drop. Dark Star Orchestra, which has performed to critical acclaim for more than 20 years and 2,600 shows, continues the Grateful Dead legacy – with shows built off the Dead’s extensive catalog.
