ZZ Top

Larkin Poe, the GRAMMY® Award-nominated sister duo comprised of Atlanta-bred, Nashville-based multi-instrumentalists Rebecca and Megan Lovell, have unveiled a number of high-profile performances. The upcoming schedule begins with a remarkable rendition of “The Star-Spangled Banner” filmed live on a Nashville rooftop and set for broadcast on FS1’s NASCAR Race Hub tonight, April 21, at 6:00 PM (EST), officially kicking off FOX Sports’ coverage of NASCAR’s Spring Tripleheader Weekend at Talladega Superspeedway (April 24-25).

The first live track recorded at a musical celebration of the early years of Fleetwood Mac and its founder Peter Green has been released, featuring ZZ Top’s Billy Gibbons and Metallica’s Kirk Hammett, performing a raucous version of ‘The Green Manalishi (With The Two Pronged Crown).

Each year an armada of musicians, manufacturers, DJ’s and music lovers descends on Anaheim, California, for the annual NAMM show. The January trade show features a dizzying array of new equipment and a plethora of private and public concerts at nearby venues. But the most impressive bash each year has to be the “Gibson Live At The Grove: Featuring Music Legends New Icons.” The company takes over the 1700 seat City National Grove of Anaheim and converts it into a giant lounge with tables for 1200 guests.

Day 2 of the first annual Exit 111 Festival in Manchester Tennessee turned bright and sunny after a chilly drizzly morning. By the time the music began just before 1 pm, warm sunshine had begun to bathe the venue, offering a comfortable backdrop to the longest day of the three-day event. The sports bar had been open since 9 am and was filled with passionate alcohol-infused fans cheering on their various teams.

It was that time of year again for the annual Bourbon and Beyond Music Festival in Louisville, Kentucky. This time in a new location, at the Kentucky Exposition Center fairgrounds it was 3 fantastic days of music, food and more!

Nederlander Concerts brought another sold-out show to the spectacular Vina Robles Amphitheater, on a sun-drenched summer Sunday, August 25th. A double bill featuring ZZ Top and Cheap Trick filled the venue with several hours of classic rock hits. As is the custom at the mountainside venue fans arrived early to sample Vina Robles fine wines, craft beers, and gourmet snacks.

This year’s rendition of Bourbon and Beyond is set to outdo the festival of last year that unfortunately was rained out due to dangerous conditions of the grounds. The new location will be outside the Kentucky Expo center at Highland Festival Grounds, more inland than the previous location on the banks of the Ohio River in Louisville, Kentucky.

The World’s Largest Bourbon Festival, Bourbon & Beyond, will make its anticipated return to Louisville, KY Friday, September 20, Saturday, September 21, and Sunday, September 22, expanding to three days full of incredible music, unique culinary events, and unmatched experiences from the region’s best distilleries at the new Highland Festival Grounds At KY Expo Center.

Who could forget ZZ Top's breakout album "Tres Hombres" and that incredible iconic version of "Been Waiting for the Bus ---> Jesus Just Left Chicago"?? If any song captures the essence of West Texas blues/blues rock that song does. And if any band epitomizes that "West Texas Blues Rock sound" it's ZZ Top. Arguably one of the best power trios of all time, ZZ Top's body of work speaks for itself.

Once ZZ Top guitarist Billy Gibbons and bassist Dusty Hill began dishing out shared vocal duties, truculent lead solos and iron-fisted bass lines with hard-working drummer Frank Beard at the helm on a warm Tuesday night at Chicagoland’s Ravinia, it became hard to keep track of the star-studded hits that just kept rolling down the rocker pipeline at full force.
