But when John Prine hits the road, the darkest corners and smallest joys get illuminated by the light of his gravelly, utterly American voice, his way with the plainest of language and the vintage Guild and Martin guitars he plays.

SPOOKIE DALY PRIDE is a four piece band from Boston Massachusetts that delivers high energy, joyful hip hop-infused roots rock, with deep soulful grooves and catchy, hookfilled songs. On the strength of their songs alone, SDP would be stylin', but their uplifting, live performances gives them that extra something that takes them to 11. The music and the show truly defy comparisons, though Tom Waits fronting the Muppet band keeps popping up!

The 10,000 Lakes Festival is proud to announce the complete list of performers for its third annual event, scheduled for July 21-24 at the scenic Soo Pass Ranch in Detroit Lakes, Minnesota. In addition to two nights of festival headliners Widespread Panic and former Phish guitarist/front man Trey Anastasio, the event features two dozen other artists performing in a wide range of musical styles.

Hookahville, the Ohio festival institution celebrating its 11th year as a production, has confirmed the lineup for the Spring event Friday and Saturday, May 28-29 at Frontier Ranch Music Center in Kirkersville, Ohio.  Hosted by the Columbus, Ohio group, ekoostik hookah and their two nights of headlining shows, the two-day music and camping event features the talents of veterans of the improvisational music world, as well as some of the top younger talent the scene has to offer.

The 10,000 Lakes Festival is proud to announce Widespread Panic and Trey Anastasiohave confirmed a weekend of headlining performances for the 2005 event. Widespread Panic returns to the 10,000 Lakes Festival for the second time with two special headlining performances on the Main Stage Friday, Saturday, July 22, 23. Closing this year's festival Sunday, July 24 is Trey Anastasio, the guitarist and founder of the seminal band Phish.

The third annual 10,000 Lakes Festival is scheduled for July 22-24 at the scenic Soo Pass Ranch in Detroit Lakes, Minnesota.

There will be a free staged reading and full sing through of CUMBERLAND BLUES , which incorporates 20 songs by Jerry Garcia and Robert Hunter, Monday, February 7 at the Carousel Dinner Theatre in Akron, Ohio. A limited number of invitations are available.
