2015 saw Glass Caves sell out most of their debut album tour, support Augustines, headline London’s Koko and appear at Dot to Dot and Isle of Wight Festivals amongst others. Not to mention a national tour for ‘This Feeling’. Not bad for a band who spent the start of the year busking in some of the very same cities.

Acclaimed Boston-based bluegrass quintet The Lonely Heartstring Band is set to release their debut album Deep Waters June 3 on Rounder Records.

The storied bluegrass quintet Yonder Mountain String Band showered The Catalyst of downtown Santa Cruz, CA in full form on Wednesday night, March 23rd.

One week into their spring tour, Yonder and opening act Polecat are hitting on all cylinders. When asked about up and coming artists Dave Johnston, founding member and banjo player for Yonder, said they haven’t jammed with Polecat – yet.

Day of the Dead is an epic tribute to the music and artistry of the Grateful Dead, curated by Aaron and Bryce Dessner of The National. They have brought together some of their favorite musicians to reinterpret the songs and sounds of the Dead for a new generation.

Easy Star All-Stars have announced their 2016 spring tour: kicking things off with their annual 420 show at The Highline Ballroom in their hometown of NYC (on April 20, of course), the band then heads out to the Midwest and Rocky Mountain regions for two more weeks on the road.

On April 7th, 8th and 9th Dark Star Orchestra (DSO) will perform for the first time ever in Berkeley, CA.  The performances will be held at the newly renovated UC Theatre.

Umphrey’s McGee concluded their 2016 Winter West Coast Tour at the Wiltern Theater in Los Angeles on Saturday night.  The tour has been highlighted by a variety of bust-outs, debuts and collaborations and this night would prove to be no different.  The crowd began filtering in more than 2 hours before Umphrey’s McGee was ready to start, and those that did were greeted with a fiery opening set from Prog-rock all-stars TAUK

Tickets to the Boulder show are only available as part of a special two day ticket package.
