“Sun, Moon and Star” is the first cover song released as a single by Sam Pace and the Gilded Grit.  It is a special track because its original writer and performer- Toots Hibbert of Toots and the Maytals- is Pace’s most beloved figure.

Pace’s idolization of Toots began nearly 20 years ago and this Summer marks his first offering from Hibbert’s prolific repertoire.

It’s that simple. Yet sadly, decent decorum has been completely disregarded contributing to appalling, irresponsible, disheartening conduct, negatively impacting society. Thankfully, all hope is not lost. Pace’s new track, “What Matters Most,” propagates a critical message.

“What Matters Most” is the newest single from soul-slinging Sam Pace and the Gilded Grit. Inspired by a line from Charles Bukowski, the new track is meant to evoke the funky, fighting spirit.  "What Matters Most" is a karate chop to the throat of the bad vibrations of coronavirus and malaise in general.

Before the COVID situation hit, Sam spent three months on the road with Triumph Motorcycles.  Acting as their Artist In Residence, he performed acoustic sets and DJed in forty-five cities coast to coast.
