The Electric Waste Band, featuring NBA legend Bill Walton on percussion, will be joined by special guests Jeff Chimenti on keyboards and Dave Ellis on sax for an extraordinary evening of spectacular Grateful Dead music on August 29, 2019 at the epically magnificent and historic Sweetwater Music Hall in downtown Mill Valley, California.
Doors open at 7:00 pm and the show tips off at 8:00 p.m. with Paulie Mac (KNBR’S Murph & Mac) “in a rare and different conversation with Bill Walton.” The full band takes the stage immediately thereafter for two powerfully rockin’ sets of the band’s renowned crowd-inspired, high energy, improvisational rock-n-roll featuring the music of the Grateful Dead.
Bill has been playing with the EWB band for years and brings his expertise as a devout and deadicated Deadhead in an effort to elevate the band and the music to new heights. The fans love it when Bill plays the show. “We’re all in good hands when Bill’s calling the tunes.” And with Jeff and Dave joining in, this show has no limits, boundaries or rules. For their part, the EWB has been performing in and around San Diego since 1989. They are currently in their 28th year of weekly Monday night shows at Winston’s in Ocean Beach.
