Father John Misty is pleased to announce a series of new U.S. headlining shows in September 2025 in support of his acclaimed album, Mahashmashana. The tour kicks off on Sunday, September 14 at The Mission Ballroom in Denver, CO and concludes on Thursday, October 2 at JJ’s Live in Fayetteville, AR. These dates will feature support from Jagjaguwar Records act Cut Worms, with fan presales beginning Wednesday, April 9 at 10 a.m. local time (password: HONEYBEAR). Tickets go on sale to the general public this Friday, April 11 at 10 a.m. local time.

Recent performances have earned Father John Misty high praise, including sold-out shows at both Kings and Beacon Theatres in New York this past February. Brooklyn Vegan praised his stage presence, calling him “a master showman, working the stage, throwing shapes, and dancing, much to the delight of the crowd.” The New York Times “The Amplifier” newsletter named his Beacon Theatre date one of their “Favorite concerts” of the winter, writing that he is “a sharp satirist who knows exactly when to get unexpectedly sincere.” Meanwhile, USA Today highlighted the enthusiastic response from fans at his Kings Theatre appearance, quoting an attendee who confessed, “I never understood why people joined cults then I saw him live.”

Father John Misty’s Mahashmashana and its singles have already secured a spot on multiple “Best of 2024” lists, appearing in publications such as The New Yorker, Variety, The Ringer, Vogue, Under the Radar, Uproxx, Stereogum, Brooklyn Vegan, The AV Club, PASTE, Consequence of Sound, PopMatters, GQ (UK), Philadelphia Inquirer, Pitchfork, and The New York Times. The album also spent five weeks atop the NACC 200 College Albums Chart. Mahashmashana is currently available in CD, LP, and digital formats from Father John Misty’s official merch stores (in the US and EU), megamart.subpop.com, Bella Union (UK/EU), and independent retailers worldwide; the album cover artwork is by Joe Roberts (LSD World Peace).

Also available is the I Love You, Honeybear single LP (remastered edition) through Sub Pop Mega Mart in North America, Mega Mart 2 in the UK/EU, Father John Misty’s official website, and select independent retailers worldwide. Fans can also stream the I Love You, Honeybear demos on all digital service platforms, released as a companion piece for the album’s anniversary.

Adding to the excitement, Father John Misty recently performed a new, unreleased song titled “The Dead Mouse One” on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert (February 27). The track originally surfaced on a bootleg recording of his December 13, 2023 solo performance at the Sunset Cultural Center in Carmel-by-the-Sea, CA, and has since become a sought-after favorite among fans.
