Progressive, groundbreaking bluegrass quintet, The Infamous Stringdusters have announced dates for their anticipated fall tour, in support of their self-released, fourth studio album, Silver Sky (High Country Recordings). Paste Magazine praised the album, saying,  "Though known for their raucous live performances, the band’s collective energy comes through in a big way on the new LP, particularly on the lead track, “Don’t Mean Nothin’”. Following a summer of breakout performances at major festivals, including Bonnaroo, Wakarusa, Summer Camp and Electric Forrest, the Infamous Stringdusters will hit the road on October 18 in Portland, ME and will run through November 17th, when they close at the Cat’s Cradle in Carrboro, NC. See tour dates and on-sale dates below.

The Infamous Stringdusters live performances are energetic, festive events featuring five virtuosos - Chris Pandolfi (banjo), Jeremy Garrett (fiddle/vox), Travis Book (upright bass/vox), Andy Hall (dobro/vox) and Andy Falco (guitar/vox) - who have broken down barriers proving that music with bluegrass instrumentation does not need to fit neatly in a box. Honest Tune says of the band’s performances, "...their live show is absolutely spell-binding..." The band refers to their unique blend of bluegrass, rock, country and sheer energy as High Country. A great example can be seen on this live clip of the instrumental “Black Rock”.

The Stringdusters have also announced the line up for their annual festival, The Festy Experience, October 5-7 in Charlottesville, VA. Now is it’s 3rd year, The Festy Experience was created and curated by The Stringdusters and looks to be the biggest and best yet. This year’s Festy boasts an impressive line up of artists playing with The Stringdusters, including Trampled By Turtles, Leftover Salmon, Keller & The Keels, Rubblebucket. Elephant Revival, Floodwood (featuring members of moe.) and many more.  Along with great music, The Festy Experience features a unique outdoor experience, including camping, The Blue Ridge Burn (5k & 10k trail runs), Devils Backbone Challenge (bike race) and local sustenance, with regional cuisine, craft beer and artisans.
