The Frankfort Bluegrass Festival, a 100% not-for-profit celebration of America’s enduring musical tradition, will mark its 15th anniversary on July 12–13, 2025, in downtown Frankfort. Recognized as a premier music destination, this free two-day event has earned notable accolades, including being named the 2018 IBMA Event of the Year and “Best Event of the Year” by the International Bluegrass Music Association (IBMA) in 2019. It also secured top-five nominations for the same award in 2016 and 2017, making it the only Midwest-based festival to achieve that distinction.
A compelling lineup of top-tier talent will take the stage, featuring both nationally renowned and emerging acts. Among the standout performers are the Del McCoury Band, Tony Trischka’s EarlJam, Henhouse Prowlers, East Nash Grass, Special Consensus, the Rick Faris Band, Rob Ickes & Trey Hensley, Nu-Blu, Johnny & the Yooahoos (DE), Nick Dumas & Branchline, The Grateful String Band, Fox Crossing String Band, Anderlik Otto & Church, Wheels North, and more. From Grammy-winning headliners to fresh voices carrying bluegrass into the future, each ensemble offers its own unique interpretation of this distinctive American music.
