BeachLife Festival organizers announce a new concert coming to Southern California this fall with BeachLife Nights. Taking place Friday, October 18 and Saturday, October 19 in Redondo Beach, BeachLife Nights will showcase live music by Michael Franti & Spearhead, Iration, SOJA, Fortunate Youth, The English Beat, Donavon Frankenreiter, Anuhea, The Rookie5, and more. Additionally, Michelin-starred chef Curtis Stone will host a VIP barbecue tasting behind the main stage each night.

Today, the legendary jazz group The Bad Plus announces an extensive fall/winter tour in support of their upcoming album Complex Emotions out November 8 via Mack Avenue Records. The tour will include their annual four-night residency at the Dakota in their hometown of Minneapolis and five nights at New York City’s famed Birdland Jazz Club.

Now rebranded as Silverada, the group is set to perform at The Oriental Theater in Denver, CO, in celebration of their latest, boldest release yet—Silverada. Fans will witness the evolution of a band that’s taken their sound from the Texas honky-tonk scene to the world’s stages, culminating in a fresh name and a daring musical direction.

The Deslondes will return with Roll It Out via New West Records. The 13-song set was produced by Andrija Tokic & The Deslondes and was recorded at the Bombshelter in East Nashville, TN. Roll It Out is their first album with new drummer Howe Pearson (previously a touring member for Hurray for the Riff Raff) and also features guest vocals by Twain (Mat Davidson) and horn arrangements by Tuba Skinny.

Jersey City is getting its own Latin Jazz Festival! Riverview Jazz, the JC-based non-profit that produces the Jersey City Jazz Festival and many other community programs, has partnered with Exchange Place Alliance to present a one-day celebration at Exchange Place Plaza, where Montgomery Street meets the Hudson River. The Festival will be held on Saturday, September 14th, from 1:00 PM to 8:00 PM, with an opening party on Friday night, September 13th. The Festival will feature two stages, food trucks, Salsa dance lessons, children’s programming, and much more.
