Sol Chase was born into a tribe of hippies and musicians and learned to play folk songs in the fields and forests of Europe during early years on the road. Through a long stint in the energetic jamgrass scene of the Colorado Rockies and several years leading bands in the musical melting pot of Austin, Texas, Sol’s style emerged as an eclectic blend of bluegrass and Americana, led by his formidable mandolin playing and heartfelt vocals.

Today, Sound Mind Live announces its fifth annual Sound Mind Music Festival for Mental Health, presented this year as a free, all day street festival between Irving Ave and Wyckoff Ave in Bushwick, Brooklyn on Saturday, May 20th.
