Adam Deitch, Grammy-nominated artist & world-renowned drummer of Lettuce and Break Science, has released his latest Producer album ‘TAKE YOUR TIME’ via his record label Golden Wolf Records, in partnership with Regime Music Group. This is Adam’s third full-length Producer album, and showcases the multi-talented musician’s production prowess and beat-making abilities. The record offers a heavy dose of drumming (of course), but the tunes soar to new heights with dreamy electronic beats as the backdrop and genre-spanning undertones– hip-hop, soul, r&b, and funk to name a few.
Deitch will be performing songs from the album at the record release party on April 8th at Meow Wolf in Denver, CO. Special guests include other instrumental-electronic projects by ETHNO (Jeff Franca of Thievery Corporation) and The Parrisian (Parris Fleming of Harry Styles live band & The TMRW Ppl).
Produced by Deitch and mastered by Chris Karns (of Pretty Lights), ‘TAKE YOUR TIME’ was inspired in part by the musical output of Adam’s peers throughout the pandemic:
“Enter the Quarantine era, and all of my awesome musician friends were expressing themselves on Instagram. Amazing pianists like world-renowned Jason Moran, synth wizard Shaun Martin, and many more were posting musical gems on their respective accounts. The idea came to me that THIS was the new proverbial ‘record bin’ I could mine. The concept for TAKE YOUR TIME was born.”
Additional collaborators and sampled artists on the record include Nigel Hall, Borahm Lee, Probcause, Sonya Kitchell, DJ Williams, and more.
Adam Deitch was born and raised in Nyack, NY, and currently resides in Denver, CO. He’s a founding member of future-funk band Lettuce, half of electro-soul duo Break Science, longtime foil to GRAMMY-winning jazz guitarist and Miles Davis alum John Scofield, leader of his groove-jazz project The Adam Deitch Quartet, alongside a slew of other side projects. Adam is also well-known as a former member of Pretty Lights’ all-star Analog Future Band (2012/2013), and for contributing to his 2012 Grammy winning LP A Color Map of the Sun. As an in-demand hip-hop producer, Adam has worked with heavyweights like 50-Cent, Method Man, Redman, Talib Kweli, Pharoahe Monch, Chali 2na, MF Doom, and more.
This release is sure to delight both fans of Adam’s multiple other projects and new electronic listeners alike. Vinyl & merchandise are available for purchase HERE.
