For the better part of 2017, Aqueous have been touring coast-to-coast, both in support of Umphrey's McGee, and headlining their own dates. The group has even made their way around this year's festival circuit, playing to packed stages at national festivals like Peach Music Festival and Summer Camp Music Festival, with their debut performance at Suwanee Hulaween scheduled for this October. After a relentless year on the road, it comes as welcome news that the band, originally formed in 2007 in Buffalo, NY, will return to their hometown for a special performance on New Year's Eve. On Sunday, December 31, Aqueous will ring in the new year at Town Ballroom in Buffalo, NY and tickets are now on sale via Ticketfly.
Last month, the band released a brand new studio single, "Weight of the Word," which is Aqueous' first studio cut since their 2014 album Cycles. The Aqueous-produced song was engineered and mixed by Justin Rose at Buffalo's GCR Audio and was mastered by Grammy-winning engineer, Scott Hull (Steely Dan, Smashing Pumpkins, Snarky Puppy, Talking Heads, John Mayer, Beastie Boys). Earlier this year, Aqueous released their live record, Element Pt. I, which complies fan-selected cuts from their 2017 Spring tour. The second installment, containing selections from their Spring 2017 run, as well as those from this Summer, is expected in the coming months.
