Today, Good Vibez Presents, festival organizers for the legendary California Roots Music and Arts Festival, have dropped a lineup sure to leave festivalgoers counting down the days until Cali Roots 2024. From festival timers like Jamaica’s legendary Burning Spear and Grammy-winning rapper and producer Lupe Fiasco to long-time friends of Cali Roots, Damian ‘Jr Gong’ Marley, Pepper, and J Boog, countless national and international Reggae, Roots, Hip Hop, and World Music acts will bring smiles to music fans on California’s Central Coast and beyond over the weekend of May 24-26 at the festival’s long-running home at the Monterey County Fairgrounds in Monterey, California. “Every year we sit down as a team, and brainstorm how we can continue to connect with the fans and create an original experience,” says Dan Sheehan, festival producer and co-host of Cali Roots Radio on SiriusXM’s The Spectrum. Some of those fan considerations led Good Vibez to bringing the festival back to its three-day format this year. “When looking ahead to 2024’s festival, we have been talking a lot about fan economics, specifically what it costs for you to spend Memorial Day weekend with us: from ticket prices, to rising hotel costs, to days off work, and beyond,” wrote the whole Good Vibez team in a statement to fans earlier this year. “With that in mind, we’ve decided to revert back to a three day (Friday, Saturday, Sunday) format for Cali Roots 2024. This will allow us to hyperfocus our team’s energy and resources on leveling up your experience and our production to make Cali Roots accessible to more fans.”
Limited Early Bird 3-day, as well as travel packages, will go on sale November 15th at 10 am PST at this link. Per usual, Cali Roots is an all-ages-welcome event, and kids 10 and under can attend for free with parents or guardians.
