Today Dark Star Orchestra announces the first stateside dates for 2019, following the return from their seventh annual, Jam in the Sand festival, happening January 15-19 in Runaway Bay, Jamaica. The dozen plus dates of the West Coast tour begin February 7 in Seattle and wind down through Oregon, California, Nevada and Arizona before ending at the Saban Theatre in Beverly Hills on February 23.

In addition to the band’s first 2019 dates, Dark Star Orchestra has announced a handful of show recreation themes for the upcoming Fall Tour on the East Coast. The band has rarely announced in advance which historic Grateful Dead setlists will be performed on any given night, until now. Coming up for these selected shows in November:
Nov. 11 – Calvin Theater – Northampton, MA – the band is recreating a historic Massachusetts show (while celebrating the 21st year since the first-ever Dark Star Orchestra performance on 11/11/97 in Chicago, IL)
Nov. 15 – State Theater - Portland, ME - the band is recreating a historic Portland, Maine area show
Nov. 16 – College Street Music Hall – New Haven, CT – the band will recreate the infamous May 5, 1977 performance from New Haven
Nov. 17 – Palace Theater – Albany, NY – the band is recreating a classic Albany area show
Dec. 1 – The Anthem – Washington D.C. – the band is recreating a classic DC area show
