EO Worldwide, a new company founded by Matt Butler, presents ‘A Musical Sojourn in Porto’ in Porto, Portugal in October 2023. Best known as the founder and conductor of the Everyone Orchestra for over 20 years - conducting more than 1000 unique musicians amidst 500 shows - Matt Butler’s creative connection to the dynamic community of world-renowned musicians is the foundation for the distinctive musical connectivity of EO Worldwide's Musical Sojourns.
Featuring members of Greensky Bluegrass, ALO, Trey Anastasio Band, Railroad Earth, Fruition, Terrapin Family Band & more, ‘A Musical Sojourn in Porto’ brings 150 guests together with 18 world-class musicians for an unforgettable six day travel experience filled with live music performances and cultural immersion. The lineup hosts Paul Hoffman, Anders Beck, Holly Bowling, Natalie Cressman & Ian Faquini, Jennifer Hartswick, Dan Lebowitz, Nicki Bluhm, James Casey, Mike Devol, Tim Carbone, Tikyra Jackson, Todd Sheaffer, Ross James, Scott Law, Fruition Trio and Everyone Orchestra.
While forging deep bonds with old friends and new, Musical Sojourns build and expand community, maximizing the potential for joy and connectedness by creating intimate location-based, cross-cultural musical experiences that bring together world class musicians and their fans.
Packages offer six days and nights of accommodations, all music programming, breakfast buffets, and curated dinners. The Porto Sojourn headquarters will be the M.Ou.Co hotel, a beautiful space featuring a built-in music and art focus. Additional performances throughout the week will include epic venues like the Polacia de Bolsa, a floating riverboat traversing the Duoro River, and a local jazz club.
Conceived as a cohesive multi-dimensional installation, crafted with local friends, participants experience once in a lifetime musical collaborations of their favorite artists along with a broad range of Portuguese musicians for incredibly unique concerts within these extraordinary venues.
