Z2 Entertainment and 97.3 KBCO are thrilled to present an extraordinary evening with the new all-star trio of Béla Fleck, Edmar Castañeda, and Antonio Sánchez at Chautauqua Auditorium on Thursday, June 19, 2025. This one-of-a-kind collaboration brings together three of the most innovative and virtuosic instrumentalists in contemporary music.

Béla Fleck needs no introduction: the 18-time Grammy Award-winning banjo pioneer has redefined the boundaries of his instrument, working with everyone from Chick Corea to the Flecktones, and showcasing his versatility across jazz, classical, bluegrass, and beyond. The Colombian-born Edmar Castañeda is widely regarded as the preeminent jazz harp virtuoso, seamlessly merging the harp’s traditional sound with modern jazz, Latin, and global influences. Antonio Sánchez, the 5-time Grammy-winning drummer and composer, has earned international acclaim for his groundbreaking work with Pat Metheny, his visionary projects (such as Bad Hombre), and his Golden Globe–nominated drum score for the film Birdman.

Expect a thrilling performance of original repertoire—most of it written collaboratively—featuring driving grooves, spellbinding melodies, and breathtaking improvisations. Each artist’s innovative approach to their instrument will be on full display, creating an immersive musical experience that is as fresh as it is unforgettable.

An 18-time Grammy Award-winner celebrated for his genre-bending prowess, Béla Fleck has spent over three decades exploring the banjo’s limitless potential. About Edmar Castañeda

Originally from Bogotá, Colombia, Edmar Castañeda arrived in the U.S. in 1994 and quickly established himself as one of the foremost jazz harpists on the scene. Noted for his innovative technique and genre-defying compositions, Castañeda has collaborated with a who’s-who of jazz legends, from Paquito D’Rivera and Wynton Marsalis to Chick Corea and Marcus Miller. His cross-cultural artistry shines through his albums, including the latest Viento Sur and other significant orchestral commissions.

About Antonio Sánchez

Born in Mexico City, Antonio Sánchez is a 5-time Grammy Award-winning drummer and composer, famed for his 18-year collaboration with Pat Metheny and for his critically acclaimed soundtrack to the Oscar-winning film Birdman. A classically trained pianist turned jazz luminary, Sánchez has become one of the most in-demand drummers in the world—leading his own bands and recording a series of highly regarded solo and collaborative albums, including the social justice–themed Lines in the Sand and the boundary-pushing SHIFT (Bad Hombre Vol. II).
