Lotus announces 2015’s The Gilded Age Tour kicking off January 22nd in State College, PA and continuing from coast to coast through early March. Highlights include two night runs in Syracuse and Burlington & shows at New York City’s Terminal 5, Los Angeles’ House of Blues, and Atlanta’s The Tabernacle. While 2014 included select appearances, this new run is Lotus’ most extensive tour in over a year. For all dates, Lotus is offering an exclusive pre-sale through its official fan club with tickets priced at $19.50.
“We ended the summer with a bang playing some huge festival sets and a career highlight show at Red Rocks. Having the fall off from touring has given us time to focus on writing and recording, but now we are ready to take the show back on the road,” states Jesse Miller. “It has been almost 2 years since we did a full US tour. There are many challenges when playing 5-6 shows a week, but it can also create the conditions necessary for musical development and exploration. I'm excited to hit the road and see what emerges from the crucible that is tour life.”
The tour supports the most recent album, Gilded Age, which features six rock focused tracks and four down-tempo electronic remixes. EDM Sauce proclaimed upon release, “Lotus continues to gain popularity in the dance music world by ignoring genre limitations. These guys pioneered the idea of thinking outside the box… They found a spark of ingenuity and took live electronica to the next level.”
2014 isn’t over yet and marks a major milestone for Lotus, the 10th anniversary of the debut studio album, Nomad. To celebrate, the band is releasing a remastered version with Harmonized Records on December 16th. It will be available both digitally and on vinyl with updated artwork. A deluxe digital edition will also be released that includes a live recording of the sold-out, June 8, 2014 performance of the album in full at Mr. Smalls in Pittsburgh, the dual concert venue/studio the album was recorded in a decade ago.
“With the release of Gilded Age, the reissue of our first album Nomad and a new album in the works, I think this tour will be a celebration of our past while also pushing forward into new musical territory,” says Jesse.
Lotus is composed of Mike Greenfield (Drums), Jesse Miller (Bass, Sampler), Luke Miller (Guitar, Keys), Mike Rempel (Guitar) and Chuck Morris (Percussion).
