It’s a curious sight; the art on the cover is by Stanley Mouse. The liner notes include songs written by David Nelson and Robert Hunter. The first song clocks in at nearly eight minutes. When I opened the envelope that contained “Where I Come From” I admit I was a bit puzzled. Surely this had to be a best of compilation or a live recording? However to my surprise, it was neither, it was a new studio album from the New Riders of the Purple Sage.

Born out of California's Lake Tahoe area, the men of Blue Turtle Seduction know a little something about what it takes to get their music out there and spread the word.  The band credits hundreds of live performances per year as the reason why they have been able to take their unique blend of rock, bluegrass, world, and pop out of the Western wilderness and across the entire United States.  And they have taken quite a devot

When the Minneapolis-based White Iron Band released their latest CD, Devil's Sweet Revenge, the band offered up something quite unique and very unexpected for these frozen Southern rockers. The hard-driving rock sound is still ever present in the 13 tracks, but there is a richness of content that I know no one expected to come out of these guys.

Grateful Web's Sam Holloway had a chance to catch up with Boots Factor, drummer/mandolin/banjo for Stephen Kellogg & the Sixers who answered a few questions during their recent stop at the Fox Theater in Boulder, Colorado.

Recently Grateful Web's Alex Borosody had the opportunity to talk with Matt Butler, the musician and conductor behind the Everyone Orchestra, who we also discovered can add, "great orator" to his list of talents. Never one to shy away from leadership, you could say Matt conducted the interview, as he energetically and expressively weaved eloquent science and philosophy.
