Allman Brothers Band

The 6th Annual Allman Family Revival tour, a nation wide event curated by Devon Allman in an effort to celebrate and honor his late father, Gregg Allman kicked off on November 26 in Macon, GA.   The tour has been packing out iconic venues over the last few weeks, and now in it’s 6th year the tour did something never done before and played a full show of only Allman songs as another nod to Gregg at their sold-out NYC Beacon Theatre performance earlier this month.

The 6th Annual Allman Family Revival is coming to a living room near you! Excited to announce that the Friday, December 9 performance from The Ryman will be streaming live on Mandolin.

When I was in college in the early 1970s, a musician friend of mine and I went to a Cincinnati nightclub to see a band from Atlanta that wasn’t the Allman Brothers. (In fact, it was at a club where the band had actually played just a couple of years prior. So it wasn’t a new thing for Southern bands to come to the Upper Midwest along the same tour routes.)

The Ogden Theatre is a 1600 capacity venue in the Capitol Hill district of Denver and although its surroundings leave much to be desired, the place still brings out the magic for those who enter its historic doors. Originally opened in 1917, it got it start as did many theaters of that era as a movie house and a locale for vaudeville performances. Cinema was its main draw for decades until its almost unfortunate end in the early 90’s, when it was slotted to be demolished.

The life and legacy of the legendary Gregg Allman will be celebrated with a very special all-star concert event.

Every ALLMAN BROTHERS BAND live performance is special and unique. Renowned for their spontaneous improvisation, no two shows are ever the same; each captures a pivotal period in the band’s history and holds a story just waiting to be told.

Devon Allman has announced several new artist additions to the 2022 Allman Family Revival including Vaylor Trucks (son of Butch Trucks), Melody Trucks (daughter of Butch Trucks), G. Love (G. Love & Special Sauce), Johnny Stachela (Allman Betts Band) and John Ginty (Allman Betts Band).

Tommy (C. Thomas) Howell, known for bringing one of film’s most legendary characters to life (“Ponyboy” from The Outsiders) is thrilled to make his musical debut with first single “Rose Hill” out September 16, 2022. Penned by Howell, the song is a tribute to the founding members of the Allman Brothers Band and one of their stomping grounds, the Rose Hill Cemetery in Macon, GA.
