Beanstalk Music Festival 2018 was one for the books, everyone! Where to begin… Imagine a festival with one of the best lineups the Colorado jam music scene has to offer in a beautiful location on the river, deep in the mountains. There was rafting, hiking, tubing, kayaking, paddle boarding, camping with friends, fantastic food, beautiful sunsets and sunrises, and a full moon lighting your way at night. Those are all just the extra activities available at Beanstalk every year, but this particular line up was very special.

“Our show at the Bluebird was one of those rare nights where everything totally clicked," recalls Mike Gantzer of Aqueous, regarding their breakout June 9th, 2018 performance at the famed Denver theater. "The band was riding a wave of synergy, the setlists were a blast, and we had a sold-out crowd in front of us at this wonderful theater in Denver–it was just a beautiful evening and there was a little bit of magic in the air. The fan response to these sets was overwhelming."

Beanstalk Music & Mountains Festival has confirmed their return to Rancho Del Rio in the Vail Valley for 2018. Rancho sits along the banks of the Colorado River nestled into the Rocky Mountains just 2.5 hours west of Denver.

Formed in Buffalo, New York, Aqueous has been pushing the limits of the jam world since 2006. Lucky for Denver, Aqueous hosted a sold-out show at the historic Bluebird Theater on June 9th.

Aqueous is an improvisational groove rock 4-piece powerhouse band from Buffalo, New York. Grateful Web got the opportunity to sit down with Mike Gantzer of Aqueous to discuss the band, future albums, their summer/fall tour, and debut performance at Denver's Bluebird coming up on June 9th.

"There are certain shows on any given tour that really stand out," says Mike Gantzer, vocalist and guitarist of the Buffalo-based quartet, Aqueous. He elaborates, "Maybe we were sleep-deprived, maybe it was a full moon – whatever it was, the Kalamazoo, MI show last November had that MAGIC."
