San Diego band Mrs. Henry is excited to announce their project Chest Fever, a tribute to legendary rock group The Band, and will be touring and performing songs from the legendary Rock of Ages live album to celebrate its 50th Anniversary this year.
 

The tri-state area’s premier Grateful Dead influenced jam band, This Old Engine delivered a two-set closing performance for the Watkins Glen Revival 2022 concert held on May 21 on the grounds of the Swim & Sport Club of Flanders, New Jersey. Presented by JamFam Productions, the daylong concert celebrated the historic Summer Jam at Watkins Glen concert that drew a record-breaking crowd in the summer of 1973.

Keith Wortman, Robbie Robertson, Sebastian Robertson, and Blackbird Presents are thrilled to announce The Last Waltz New Orleans: A Celebration of the 45th Anniversary of the Band’s Historic Farewell Concert to be held on Saturday, May 7, 2022, at the historic Saenger Theatre in New Orleans, LA.

Swedish Americana singer Jesper Lindell’s second album, Twilights (coming March 18, 2022), is a creative tour de force, a compelling mix of blue-eyed soul and down-to-earth classic rock, a timeless sound coming anew from Scandinavia. During two years of setbacks – weathering label issues, a pandemic, cancelled tours, and a kidney disease to boot – Jesper and his band had little else to do but write and record music. The result is a remarkable new album recorded in their own studio in Brunnsvik, outside of Ludvika, Sweden.

Passim’s School of Music is back with more than two dozen classes including a pair of classes examining the music of Bob Dylan & The Band and Bonnie Raitt. This semester half of the classes will be held online, while the rest remain in person. All classes will begin remotely for the first two weeks, and then in person classes will return to the Passim School of Music in Harvard Square. The weekly courses start next week. The Band’s classic fourth album, Cahoots, is now available in a variety of newly remixed, remastered and expanded 50th Anniversary Edition packages, including a multi-format Super Deluxe 2CD/Blu-ray/1LP/7-inch vinyl box set along with digital, 2CD, 180-gram half-speed-mastered black vinyl and limited-edition 180-gram black vinyl packages via Capitol/UMe.

The 17th Annual Last Waltz Revisited will showcase members of Polytoxic together with 70+ musicians from across Colorado; this show has become an annual tradition, bringing the community together to kick-off the holiday season. The musicians will perform the music of The Band and will celebrate the 44th Anniversary of The Band’s historical performance, The Last Waltz.

Amy Helm’s silken voice weaves together her third solo album, What the Flood Leaves Behind. The lyrics reflect pain, truth, and beauty and asks questions that don’t always have an answer. Recorded at Helm Studios in Woodstock, NY, What the Flood Leaves Behind is a shining example of Amy’s spirit of collaboration.

By the time The Band was ready to record their third album, Stage Fright, in 1970, they were riding high from having released back-to-back albums that solidified them as one of the most exciting and revolutionary groups of the late 1960s.
