Acclaimed singer-songwriter Emma Swift has announced the release of a new animated lyric video for the song, “Queen Jane Approximately.” The song is taken from her new album, BLONDE ON THE TRACKS – a collection of the Nashville-based artist’s interpretations of Bob Dylan songs, arriving via Tiny Ghost Records on Friday, August 14.

Higher Ground Presents is pleased to announce that Bob Dylan and His Band will be performing at the Champlain Valley Exposition in Essex Junction on July 11th with Nathaniel Rateliff & The Night Sweats and The Hot Club of Cowtown. Tickets go on sale this Friday at 10 am.

GW: Congrats on the recent sold-out New Year's show in Boulder - you guys seem to be building up a loyal following in Colorado. Is CO the home base for the Gasoline Lollipops then? How was the show?

Let’s rewind to November 25, 1976, on Thanksgiving Eve. The iconic group, The Band, were joined by Eric Clapton, Neil Young, Joni Mitchell, Dr. John, to name a few. This was going to be the official “Farewell Show” in San Francisco (Winterland Ballroom) for the Canadian/American quintet: Helm/Danko/Robertson/Hudson/Manuel.

Once, he was just Bobby Zimmerman. It was a long time ago. 1953 to be exact, but that’s how long Louis Kemp’s memories of the man we all know as Bob Dylan reach back. Bobby and Louie, the “boys from the North Country,” were just kids when they met at summer camp in Northern Wisconsin, both from middle class Jewish families from Northern Minnesota.
