Steve will be joining Bob Weir's Campfire Tour on guitar and lapsteel (he may even dust off some pedal steel for this special occasion). After being a part of the recording session for Blue Mountain and also appearing on the new record, it's an honor for Steve to also participate in the tour.

September 30th, Bob Weir's first solo CD in ten years will be available for purchase. Titled Blue Mountain, this 12 track release is a personal collection of music inspired by the ranch stories and fireside songs of Bob’s youth, told with wisdom and heart. Weir will be touring nine dates with Aaron Dessner, Bryan Devendorf and Josh Kaufman.

After a successful summer tour, Dead & Company brought the season to a joyous close on Saturday night at Shoreline Amphitheatre, only two days ahead of what would have been Jerry Garcia's 74th birthday.

The decline of 1970's Grateful Dead piano player Keith Godchaux was sad but not entirely unexpected. The hardships of the never-ending grueling tour and travel schedule (that had always been for The Dead) had taken its toll on Keith and his wife Donna Jean Godchaux, a talented Muscle Sholes-alum vocalist. It was Donna who introduced Keith to Jerry Garcia in 1971 after a Dead show they had attended.

Less than one year and about 50 shows into this thing, Dead & Company illustrated on July 29 at the newly renamed Toyota Amphitheatre near Sacramento, that it has found a powerful groove that satisfies those who have been immersed in the Grateful Dead culture for 50 years or 50 weeks.

Dead & Company visited the Sleep Train Amphitheater in Chula Vista, CA on Wednesday (7/27/16), which marked their final Southern California stop and their last performance ahead of the tour closing shows in Wheatland, CA (Fri 7/29/16) and tonight at the fabled Shoreline Amphitheater in Mountain View, CA (Sat 7/30/16).  The excitement of the fans in the hours leading up to the show was palpable, if not audible, as the p

Today, Rolling Stone Magazine premiered a live video of Slightly Stoopid performing the Grateful Dead’s “Franklin’s Tower” with the support of special guests Bob Weir and Karl Denson. The track was originally performed during the Live from Roberto’s webcast at Weir’s Tamalpais Research Institute Studios in San Rafael, California earlier this year.

Bob Weir, Mickey Hart and Bill Kreutzmann, with John Mayer and featuring Oteil Burbridge and Jeff Chimenti, better known collectively as Dead & Company, opened their highly anticipated Summer 2016 tour by announcing a free show at The Fillmore in San Francisco on Monday, May 23.

Last night, Slightly Stoopid returned to Tamalpais Research Institute (TRI Studios) for a live performance and webcast featuring special guests including legendary Grateful Dead guitarist Bob Weir, Karl Denson (Karl Denson's Tiny Universe, Rolling Stones), Angelo Moore (Fishbone, Dr. Madd Vibe), Marlon Asher (Ganja Farmer), and Roger Rivas (Aggrolites).

In continued celebration of the 4/20 holiday, Slightly Stoopid will return tomorrow night,  Thursday, April 21st, 2016, to Tamalpais Research Institute (TRI Studios) for a live performance and webcast with special guests including legendary Grateful Dead founding member Bob Weir.
