Ten-time CMA Award winner Chris Stapleton leads nominees at the 55th Annual CMA Awards with nominations in five categories: Entertainer of the Year, Male Vocalist of the Year, Album of the Year (Starting Over), Single of the Year (“Starting Over”) and Song of the Year (“Starting Over”), while also earning additional producer credits in both the Album of the Year and Single of the Year categories. The awards ceremony will be broadcast live on ABC from Nashville on Wednesday, November 10 at 8:00pm ET/7:00pm CT.

Chris Stapleton returned to the stage over the weekend for three sold-out concerts at Gilford, NH’s Bank of New Hampshire Pavilion. His first shows in 504 days, the performances featured the five-time Grammy Award winner along with his band: Dave Cobb (guitar), J.T. Cure (bass), Paul Franklin (steel guitar), Derek Mixon (drums), Morgane Stapleton (vocals, tambourine) and Mickey Raphael (harmonica) as well as special guest openers Elle King and Nikki Lane.

I didn’t grow up in a small town. Los Angeles is quite the opposite in fact. I absolutely adore my city, but it’s hustle and bustle hardened me in many ways, especially thinking back to first meeting my significant love of almost twelve years. In comparison he was softer, innocent, and much more naïve than me due to his upbringing in the rural Midwest. Walmart was the hub of the community. Upon visits multiple excursions each day were made to the superstore since there wasn’t anything else to occupy our time. A few fast-food joints lined the main road.

Chris Stapleton’s “Starting Over” is #1 at country radio’s Mediabase Chart this week. The title track from his acclaimed new album, “Starting Over” was written by Stapleton and Mike Henderson and is only his second chart-topping single as an artist following 2018’s “Broken Halos” (also written by Stapleton and Henderson).
