Not long after introducing his debut EP as a solo musician in February, Daniel Rodriguez officially releases his new single, “Colorado”. Colorado has been home to Rodriguez for over a decade during his career with Elephant Revival, and his song, “Colorado”, is an ode to the feeling of comfort when homeward-bound. The song may already sound familiar to listeners of local radio stations around his home state, as Rodriguez wanted his community to have a first listen.

Singer-songwriter Daniel Rodriguez releases of his debut collection of music as a solo artist on a five-song EP titled, Your Heart The Stars The Milky Way. Rodriguez speaks of these new songs being his emotional response to the end of a 14-year relationship with a bandmate in Elephant Revival, a transcendental folk band who 5280 Magazine describes as “a pioneer and mainstay of the Colorado music scene” and who has since announced its hiatus.

In his second single as a solo musician, Daniel Rodriguez explores a sound different from his offerings in Colorado folk band Elephant Revival. “Johnny” features a dramatic and mysterious Latin groove, courtesy of special guests Tyler Thompson and Jeff Leonard of Fruition, Darren Garvey of Elephant Revival, Sam Trump of Sidewalk Chalk, and Lewi Longmire. “Johnny” is the second single to be released from Rodriguez’s upcoming EP release, out February 15, 2019.
