The inaugural BeachLife Nights, a two-day “concert in the sand” presented on October 18 and 19 along the Redondo Beach waterfront, was an unmitigated success. A boutique version of the grander BeachLife Fest, which typically takes place in May, it featured eight bands with a concentration on reggae/roots-influenced rock, including Michael Franti & Spearhead, Iration, Fortunate Youth, SOJA, English Beat, and Anuhea.
In this its fifth incarnation, the BeachLife Festival, May 3 to 5, brought a splendid mingling of ocean vibes, colorful people and unique, multi-genre mélange of music to the Seaside Lagoon at Redondo Beach, Calif.
The Surf Hotel is honored to present American roots musician and pro surfer, Donavon Frankenreiter doing a special full band set backed by storytelling folk rock band Goodnight, Texas in the Ivy Ballroom on Saturday, March 2nd. Special guest Madeline Hawthorne, a Montana-based singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist will open the show.

The festival landscape metamorphosed into a luminous oasis, caressed by the gentle kisses of the sun, where cowboy hats dotted the scene and line dancing infused the air with ebullient vibrations.

So this year, they’re hell-bent on setting a new world record to perform a show in all 50 U.S. states, inside 50 days!
