The String Cheese Incident rolled into their final night of their annual Red Rocks run with all cylinders firing, and while it was with utmost disappointment the band announced Phil Lesh would no longer be joining them due to a positive COVID test, a “good friend” would be stepping in to support and honor the music and spirit of the Grateful Dead.

July 19 UPDATE: Following a recent mild case of COVID-19 that kept Phil Lesh from performing with The String Cheese Incident at Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Colorado on July 17, it has now been confirmed that Phil Lesh & Friends will indeed deliver a headlining performance Friday, July 22 at the single-day Bluegrass and Beyond Festival at Lake Tahoe.
August 1, 2022 would have been Jerry Garcia 80th birthday and to celebrate the milestone DGN Custom Guitars, Fandiem and Bandsintown have joined together to celebrate Jerry’s life and legacy with a fundraiser campaign benefiting the Jerry Garcia Foundation.

The Garcia Project is pleased to announce that Jackie will join The Garcia Project’s Kat Walkerson and Mik Bondy on vocals for two special shows during The Garcia Project’s 2022 ”Days Between” tour. This tour is honoring the legacy of Jerry Garcia who was born on August 1, 1942 and passed away on August 9, 1995. Jerry Garcia would have been 80 years old this year.

They got on the bus to the Port Authority, rode in on the Long Island Railroad and the New Jersey Transit line. They traveled North, South, and West on the 1, 2, and 3 subway lines, their numbers growing as they descended upon Penn Station. Some rolled up in those iconic New York yellows. Some walked excitedly through the bright lights of Broadway and Times Square, meeting up with old friends on the way and picking up a few new ones too as they ascended The Garden's stairs. Maybe you were among them - lightly buzzed on the way in, fully aglow on the way home.
