Hamish Anderson

Hamish Anderson’s new record Out of my Head has been out almost a month, and momentum for the Australian born/LA - based musician has never been higher. Hamish’s track “What You Do To Me” is number 54 this week on the Americana Singles Chart.

On the heels of a two-week tour supporting Gary Clark Jr. in Australia (where he joined Gary nightly for his encore), Hamish Anderson returns to the US to celebrate the release of his sophomore album, Out of My Head, produced by Jim Scott (Tom Petty and The Heartbreakers, Tedeschi Trucks Band, Wilco). Anderson’s musical chops go deep with this record. Rock and Blues Muse has also said of Anderson’s new release, “There are a lot of impressive young guitarists out there these days, but very few of them can match their physical dexterity with this much vulnerability and lyrical prowess.“

The sun painted the final day of the 2019 Beale Street Music Festival in bright colors as puffy clouds floated about in the sky like cotton balls. It was a picture-perfect afternoon as the sold-out crowd began to fill the Tom Lee Park shortly after the gates opened. The music started early with the happy go lucky sounds of 24-year-old Memphis native Healy. The upbeat singer mixes musical genres like a Long Island Ice Tea of music.

Keep a lookout for Hamish Anderson. There is a growing buzz about this young blues guitar slinger from Australia. Hamish is getting some much deserved attention from the music-world’s finest. Having showcased at SXSW in 2015, he has opening up for Los Lobos, played Los Angeles' iconic Troubadour and his recordings produced by Brian Lucey (Black Keys, Dr. John, Arctic Monkeys).
