On Saturday July 25th, Color Red All-Stars ft. Eddie Roberts and DJ Logic took the stage at Knew Conscious in Denver, Colorado for a limited seating, socially distant show as part of the venue's weekly 'Alive from Knew Conscious' series. The 5+ hour set featured Eddie Roberts on guitar, Chris Spies on keyboards, Nate Edgar on bass, Jeff Franca on drums, and DJ Logic both spinning with the group and performing small sets intermittently. Eric "Benny" Bloom of Lettuce sat in throughout the set.

The Drive-In style set up at the ranch was in the same fashion as going to the movies, except this movie theatre had a real PA system. Cars were parked in rows and the social distance tailgating was highly successful. There were limited VIP tables set up in front of the stage for a bit more intimate viewing. Robert Randolph started the show with some of the members and introduced Devon and Duane a few songs in. At that point, the musicians on stage were from five different bands.

Earlier this year, London, UK-based octet Crowd Company, released their Alan Evans-produced record, Lowdown, which The Big Takeover lauded as an album "that bursts at the sonic seams with rich, vibrant, and varied compositions." While acid jazz-tinged track "Orbital" was not included as part of the record's release, the single was recorded during the same sessions at Evans' Iron Wax Studios while Lettuce's Ryan Zoidis and Eric "Benny" Bloom were in attendance.

Today, GRAMMY-nominated funk-jazz-soul-hip-hop-psychedelic-jam-experimental titans Lettuce have released their seventh studio album, Resonate, via Round Hill Records. PRESS HERE to listen.

We do not have a food shortage due to COVID-19. This is worth repeating. We do not have a food shortage. Unfortunately, products are limited due to the unnecessary hoarding mentality. I live in Los Angeles. At the start of our mayhem, I went to my local market horrified to find all the fresh produce was taken. Do not fret. Lettuce is answering our prayers by releasing its’ seventh album, “Resonate” in May. The grocery stores may be limited while they restock, but we will have plenty of new Lettuce tunes to keep our souls nourished.
