It was great to learn that The Trey Anastasio Trio, as listed on the schedule, was actually playing as a quartet, given that Ray Paczkowski had just returned to his keyboard the night before, after recovering from a health issue. That may have been Trey’s first real interaction with the crowd, there before the encore, where he played two solo songs with his acoustic, including a lovely “Waste,” before bringing his bandmates back for a third together. I did love how he phrased it, the news about Ray being better, genuinely thrilled to share “some good news in what seems like a world of bad news.”

The announcement of this year’s “biggest little festival” in Massachusetts just drew lots of attention with a top-tier lineup with headliners including fan-favorites Dispatch and GRAMMY Award-winning Ziggy Marley. The festival, which started off as a humble friendly barbecue, has since grown into a two-day event in its fifth year with an expected draw of over 10,000 people per day. With the announcement of daily lineups (listed below), single ticket sales are sure to surge as budgeting fans are able to prioritize their summer wish list.
The “biggest little festival” in Massachusetts just grew a little bigger. Starting off as a humble friendly barbeque, the Levitate Music and Arts Festival has since grown into a full-fledged weekend-long festival featuring top national touring acts, expecting a draw of over 10,000 fans per day. The fifth year will see the festival running two days: Saturday, July 8th and Sunday, July 9th.
In what is endearingly called the “big little” festival, Levitate Music and Arts Festival donated over $18,000 to Boys and Girls Club of Marshfield this summer. With 10,000 attendees this year, LMF donated $1.25 per ticket sold, plus parking revenue. This is the fourth year that the festival partnered with the club and previous fundraising efforts helped to rebuild the town’s skate park.
Despite the pending rain, tickets for this year’s Levitate Music and Arts Festival (LMF) sold out a week prior to the festival. 10,000 music and art lovers came together on Saturday, July 9, 2016 to enjoy the mild weather and listen to an explosive line up.
The Levitate Music and Arts Festival in Marshfield, MA will feature “The Wheels of Soul Tour” with Tedeschi Trucks Band, Los Lobos, and North Mississippi Allstars, alongside Rebelution, Lettuce, Stick Figure, Moon Taxi, Twiddle, Nahko and Medicine for the People, The Movement, and Ron Gallo.
