For the past 16 years, the 30A Songwriters Festival has attracted thousands of dedicated live music fans from around the world to hear original songwriters spanning multiple genres perform their songs. The beach resort towns along Scenic Highway 30A on the Gulf of Mexico become a music mecca featuring 25+ venues presenting over 120 songwriters and 200+ solo, band, and in-the-round performances throughout the weekend of January 16 – 20, 2025.

Wow! What a long, strange trip it’s been. Here I am at the beginning of a beautiful New England fall, basking in the glowing memories of the best end-of-summer musical celebration Martha’s Vineyard has to offer: Beach Road Weekend Music Festival (BRW). The whole experience reminds me of how lucky we are to have these opportunities to witness such historical once-in-a-lifetime music in the making.

Known for creating the innovative and much-lauded Music Vacation boutique festival experience, Topeka partners with Tedeschi Trucks Band for another exciting weekend on the shores of Miramar Beach, Florida. “Sun, Sand and Soul Beach Weekend” will take place May 2-4, 2024. More info HERE.

The Horseshoe Music Festival is thrilled to announce its Wave 1 lineup for this year's festival, taking place on September 1, 2, and 3, 2023 at the beautiful Virginian Lodge in Jackson, Wyoming. This unique festival experience has been brought to life by acclaimed musician Duane Betts and his wife, designer Lisa Hadley Betts, who are set to delight guests with their passion for music, fashion, food, wellness, and community.

Duane Betts has released a new single from his full length solo album debut - Wild & Precious Life (July 14 / Royal Potato Family). “Saints to Sinners” captures a feeling of joy and triumph: guitar, slide guitar, piano, organ, crashing cymbals and percussion create a wall of sound, over which Betts meditates on the challenges of choosing the right path.

Devon Allman and Maggie Rose got an inside look at the new Folk Americana Roots Hall of Fame (FARHOF) housed inside the Boch Center Wang Theatre in Boston. The pair were in town to perform as part of the Allman Family Revival concert across the street at the Boch Center Shubert Theatre.  Maggie and Devon got to take a look at Boston’s legendary musical past and even rocked out, performing ‘These Days’ in front of the larger-than-life mural of Gregg Allman in the Life in Six Strings guitar exhibit.

The inaugural Sacred Rose Fest is less than 2 weeks away. For the first time ever there will be a weekend full of music as diverse as the Grateful Dead in its current form. Phil Lesh playing with Nels Cline and Jeff Tweedy as well as Karl Denson, Stu Allen, Grahame Lesh, Jeff Chimenti, and Elliott Peck all in one headlining slot!?! Khruangbin, JRAD, Umphrey’s McGee, Disco Biscuits, Lotus, Elliott Peck’s Midnight North, Holly Bowling, and the Gone Gone Beyond are kicking it all off?!? The list is exciting and inviting.

The Peach Music Festival casually moved into day four, with the Black Crowes and The Word headlining this final day. Clear skies allowed the music to rage with out a hitch. Many folks left early today, and the crowd density was much less.

Pulling into Summer Camp for my first time I couldn’t help but feel a bit apprehensive. Everything I’ve read or seen on the web says “It’s an amazing fest… as long as it doesn’t rain“ Yet, here I was, pulling up to the gate on Friday morning after 3 solid days of precipitation. Stepping out of my jeep into the parking lot I immediately sunk into the mud up to my ankles and thought to myself “Welp, I guess it’s time to get dirty!”

To trace the lineage of numerous popular American genres, one only has to turn to the musical history of Chicago and absorb the city’s legacy as a cultural hub of jazz, blues, and rock n’ roll. Now, in honor of The Windy City’s rich background for diverse artistic innovation comes a first-of-its-kind music festival: SACRED ROSE.
