In November of 2019, Chris and Rich Robinson announced that in 2020, the two would reunite and bring the rock and roll force of The Black Crowes on a cross-country tour to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the group’s inaugural powerhouse album Shake Your Money Maker. The tour was to cover the continental United States and bring the southern love back to the fans who had been calling for a long-awaited reunion.

Three songs deep, Nathaniel Rateliff began urging the capacity Red Rocks Amphitheatre crowd to lay their midweek worries aside and party with him on a Wednesday night. His rhetorical question was met with an enthusiastic roar as the collective energy of ten thousand people rolled down the storied venue’s steps and flooded the stage with positive vibes. And party they did.

Both webcasts air entirely live on The Relix Channel via Twitch (twitch.tv/TheRelixChannel), starting at 6:00 pm MT on Saturday, August 14 and 4:25 pm MT on Sunday, August 15.

This past weekend, Colorado’s experimental rock and jam band, The String Cheese Incident was featured on CBS News Sunday Morning in the piece titled Red Rocks: Nature’s Perfect Music Stage.

The String Cheese Incident has performed at Red Rocks 45 times, making them one of Its most frequent performers, CBS said.

Over the weekend, the Tedeschi Trucks Band made their annual return to Red Rocks Amphitheatre and once again gave the sold-out crowd four solid sets of soulful magic and hair-raising guitar work over two nights.

Last Monday & Tuesday, Billy Kreutzmann brought his latest incarnation of the Kids to the mainland to play a two-night blowout at the sandstone mecca Red Rocks. Originally slated as a single show, tickets sold out almost instantly and in light of this demand, the call for more was answered. The response: another sold out show.

Red Rocks 2020, the new live album from Nathaniel Rateliff, is out now on Stax Records. The live record was recorded in an empty Red Rocks Amphitheatre during Rateliff’s mid-September run of socially distanced shows, which was limited to 125 attendees per night in the 9400-capacity venue. Today, Nathaniel Rateliff debuts a live version of the track “Still Out There Running” from Nathaniel Rateliff & The Night Sweats’ beloved 2018 album Tearing at the Seams. The song appears on Rateliff’s forthcoming live album, Red Rocks 2020, which is set for release on July 16 via Stax Records.
