Grammy-winning jazz vocalist Samara Joy has announced a new studio album Portrait, set for release on October 11th via Verve Records. Emerging from the crucible of an unrelenting global touring schedule, the recording finds Joy channeling her success into the pursuit of musical exploration.

The Newport Jazz Festival just announced that tickets will go on sale and the lineup will drop for the 2024 festival (August 2-4) on April 9th at 1PM Eastern, which has this East Coast mama reminiscing of all my favorite moments from last year! After having finally experienced the longest-running jazz festival in the country last year, it quickly made its way to the top of my ever-expanding list of favorite summer fests.

2X GRAMMY winner Samara Joy is set to release a holiday EP ‘A Joyful Holiday’ next month. The 6-song collection of seasonal favorites is an extension of her latest album Linger Awhile and features a similar cast of jazz musicians - Pasquale Grasso on guitar, David Wong on bass and Kenny Washington on drums - plus Sullivan Fortner on piano.

23-year-old Bronx native Samara Joy, who recently took home awards for Best New Artist and Best Jazz Vocal Album at her first-ever GRAMMYs, has shared a piano-vocal duo version of “Guess Who I Saw Today.” The stripped-down rendition of the tune, which she performed with a full band on her latest studio album Linger Awhile, features four-time GRAMMY-nominated pianist Gerald Clayton.
