Guitar icons Joe Satriani, Eric Johnson, and Steve Vai - the original line-up behind the G3 touring concept – returned to the road in 2024 for a series of sold-out concerts in the US.

The just-released “G3 Reunion Live” album (available worldwide on earMUSIC) captures the full live experience – a full set from each artist and their own band followed by a superstar G3 encore jam.

From that jam now comes the official visualizer for their cover of Steppenwolf’s "heavy metal thunder" biker anthem “Born to be Wild.”  

The original G3 touring lineup has arrived with "G3 Reunion Live," out now worldwide on earMUSIC. The album captures the guitar magic of Joe Satriani, Eric Johnson and Steve Vai on their sold-out 2024 US tour. This electrifying reunion features the three icons who first joined forces in 1996 and showcases boundary-pushing performances that define G3. Fans will enjoy full sets from each, including hits like Satriani’s “Big Bad Moon,” Johnson’s “Desert Rose,” and Vai’s “Zeus in Chains,” along with a thrilling encore jam of Hendrix, Clapton and Steppenwolf covers.

On November 18, 2024, the Bank of America Performing Arts Center in Thousand Oaks, California, was transformed into a sonic playground as the members of BEAT reunited for a spellbinding concert. In a bold move, bassist Tony Levin and guitarist/singer Adrian Belew decided to revisit the classic King Crimson albums from the 1980s, and the result was nothing short of breathtaking.

Fresh on the heels of the exciting G3 Reunion of Joe Satriani, Steve Vai and Eric Johnson, comes “The Satch-Vai Tour” launching on March 22 in Orlando, FL. The tour will hit Atlanta, Boston, New York, DC, Detroit, Minneapolis and more before winding up in Salt Lake City on May 8 with 31 shows announced today, more dates TBA soon. This marks the first time that the long-time friends have toured as a duo-bill. In additional exciting news, for the first time they will collaborate on new music with plans to release just before the tour launches in March.

Conceived in 1995 by the multi-Grammy nominated guitarist, JOE SATRIANI, the inaugural G3 Tour took place in 1996 bringing together three of the most iconic and virtuosic guitarists of their time: Satriani, Eric Johnson and Steve Vai. Known for their incredible technical prowess, musical innovation and unique styles, the G3 tour was a celebration of guitar mastery and proved extremely popular, captivating audiences worldwide.

Steve Vai has postponed his planned tour of North America until the Fall. The first U.S. leg of dates will now begin on Wednesday, September 28 in El Cajon, CA and wrap the first week of December. The itinerary will now feature performances in 52 markets as opposed to the initial plan of staging 54 shows. All ticket and VIP purchases will be honored for the rescheduled date.
