TAUK has just released “Realize” a new single on all digital services. Recorded during the Sir Nebula album sessions, the track was the last song cut to fit the vinyl release. The band wraps their spring tour this weekend with a show tonight in Boston’s Brighton Music Hall and tomorrow at NYC’s Irving Plaza. TAUK will be playing a special set on Saturday in honor of earth day with the West End Blend horns.  Support comes from Consider the Source and Space Bacon.

Sitting in your favorite outdoor chair, contemplating which is sweeter: The valley breeze lifting off the river to cool your brow, or the soul soothing sounds of an epic summer festival line up. Either way, you’ve decided that you feel more at home than you ever have…”

That’s the sensation I felt last year while doing all of my favorite things, together at once, while also being a good steward of the earth. To me, that’s what Homegrown on the River is all about.

The members of Railroad Earth aren’t losing sleep about what “kind” of music they play – they just play it. When they started out in 2001, they were a bunch of guys interested in playing acoustic instruments together. As Railroad Earth violin/vocalist Tim Carbone recalls, “All of us had been playing in various projects for years, and many of us had played together in different projects. But this time, we found ourselves all available at the same time.”

Instrumental rock-fusion quartet TAUK have added new dates to their 2017 tour. Headlining some of the biggest venues to date in Denver, San Francisco, Chicago, Boston and New York, the tour will take them around the country before a summer festival season that will see them featured at Summercamp, Electric Forest, FloydFest, LOCKN’ and more.

On Oct. 6, I got to be witness to a stellar show that highlighted two up and coming “jam bands”. Both TAUK and Earphorik showcased why they should be considered the next in the line of must-see, must-hear live bands that are part of the “jam” scene.

The 7th annual Highberry Music Festival took place this weekend after its trek up Mulberry Mountain from years prior at Byrds Adventure Center.  Art, camping and a spectacular lineup brought patrons from all over the country to enjoy the gorgeous Arkansas scenery and the best company that has ever assembled on a mountain top.  Minimal weather events kept the air cool while musicians the likes of Buckethead, Keller Williams, Wookiefoot and Yonder Mountain String Band stoked the fire onstage.
