Today, on November 20th, we at Grateful Dead celebrate the birthday of a man whose playing wasn't just technical mastery; it was a genuine expression of a restless, radiant spirit, a luminary who sought not the spotlight but the sweet harmony of souls communing together in music.

On Tuesday, October 28, 2014, after 45 years of performing some of the greatest live music in rock history, the Allman Brothers Band arrived at its final concert. The dream created by Duane Allman in 1969 had come to fruition, gone through triumph and tragedy, joy and sorrow, flourished and faltered, and ultimately persevered to reach the pinnacle of the blues/rock genre. The road had seemingly gone on forever, but in 2014, the group decided that forever would come to an end at the Beacon Theatre in New York City.

Today, The Allman Betts Family Revival is thrilled to announce the second wave of artist lineup additions, including the legendary SLASH performing at the Ryman in Nashville. Additional newly announced artists performing in select cities include Greg Koch, Donavon Frankenreiter, Maggie Rose, and John Moreland.

Recorded July 1, 1983 at Uncle Sam’s in Hull, MA, the full-length concert performance captures the Gregg Allman Band as they launched what proved a chart-topping solo career for Allman.
