Although there’s no camping at Bumbershoot, the crowd looks funkier than yesterday. I pass many familiar faces strolling around Seattle Center; they may be reapplied with make-up or flourished with new clothes, but no amount of blush can mask the wear and tear of an all-nighter. I get the sense that, even if it wasn’t 80 degrees and sunny, people would still be wearing their shades.

Dark Star Orchestra has announced a pair of year closing shows at Montclair, NJ’s Wellmont Theatre on December 30 and 31. The group’s Cosmic New Year’s Eve Celebration will feature three sets a night: on December 30, the group will kick off its three-set show with a special, rare acoustic set and on December 31 the group will recreate classic sets from the ‘60s, ‘70s and ‘80s. VIP Tickets for the December 31 performance include an exclusive poster, access to VIP section with private bar and an express line into venue.

Tickets are on sale now for the third annual Pink Moon Festival.  Growing upon the success of the previous festivals, organizer Seth Abramson and crew have scheduled an amazing lineup of musicians, artisans and activities for music and art lovers of all genres.

Blackwater Music Festival 2011 will rock the Spirit of the Suwannee Music Park in Florida from September 22- 24.  Alongside the lazy flowing “blackwater” Suwannee River, the festival has a unique combination of an awesome lineup with great camping.  The festival grounds are shaded with ancient moss draped live oak trees and are speckled with picturesque ponds.

Nestled away in the Manistee National Forest in the northern part of the mitten lie the beautiful grounds that Hoxeyville Music Festival calls home. The ninth installment of the festival proved to be one of the most exciting and eclectic lineups to date.

The Milk Carton Kids’ most recent release is titled “Prologue,” and it is aptly named given that with this recently formed collaboration of Joey Ryan and Kenneth Pattengale, the main event that fans should be waiting for is their vibrant and unexpectedly stirring live show.

Grateful Web recently had an opportunity to chat with Memphis Crawl's Matty O'Brien about the bands influences, his love of Memphis music, a sexy dance down in the south, and where he'd like to live 'down under.'

The crowd gathers in front of the Wow Hall, a towering white brick building both foreboding, and enticing as it waits to swallow its next victims of pleasure. Inside, the stage stands wait, the instruments poised for the return of their faithful muses.  The door to the Wow Hall opens, and eager fans begin to disperse into the quite building.

How lucky the creators of Aqualung; Ian Anderson, and Martin Barre; came halfway across the world to a 65 Million year old red stone amphitheater in Colorado under a cool early June evening sky, to recreate one of the seminal rock albums in history.
