Last Friday, independent recording artists the Wide Eyed Lounge Cats (WELC) released their third studio album The Watermelon Sessions on all  major streaming services, and after 3.5 days can report 5400 streams on the entire album and a  33% save rate on the Spotify platform alone, crushing the total streams of their first two releases  in short order and tripling the Spotify save rate.

The Handsome Family’s new record began with a scream in the night. “It was a bleak winter during the middle of the pandemic,” says Brett Sparks. “One night around 4 a.m. Rennie started screaming in her sleep. She screamed, ‘Come into the circle Joseph! There’s no moon tonight.’ Scary as it was, I thought, man, that’s a good chorus!”

Today, Los Angeles-based singer/songwriter/guitarist Cole Gallagher announces his debut EP The Confluence, out August 4. Along with the announcement, the 21-year-old Gallagher shares the gritty first single “Lines In The Sky” featuring members of the 400 Unit and produced by Vance Powell (Chris Stapleton, Phish, Jack White).

Praised by audiences for their ethereal vocal harmonies and intricate horn and string melodies, Noble Dust is a folk band at heart - painting lush backdrops for the stories they tell.

Andrew Gold’s pastiche psychedelic masterpiece “The Fraternal Order of the All – Greetings from Planet Love” will be released on CD on July 28, 2023.

Initially released in 1997, the album was conceived by Andrew Gold as a tribute to late 60s psychedelic rock. His remarkable compositions were wonderful stylistic evocations of artists such as The Beatles, The Beach Boys, The Byrds and The Doors.

Singer, guitarist, songwriter, and bandleader, Anthony Rosano, has always been drawn to grit, gravitas and the connection that comes from making music. Although his music is firmly implanted in the firmament of the blues, he takes his cue from any number of archival influences.

Over the span of the past ten years, it’s certainly served him well.
