Episode five of Bob Marley's Legacy documentary series continues with 'Punky Reggae Party,' an insightful look back at Bob's time in and impact on London and the rest of the United Kingdom. Dating back from the mid-'70s to this present day, 'Punky Reggae Party' explores how Bob's music and ethos captured the Zeitgeist, detailing his signing to Chris Blackwell's Island Records, and the welcomed arrival of his sound and the impact he had in the United Kingdom, especially the London-born children of the Windrush generation.

The BeachLife Festival is proud to announce its return to Redondo Beach, CA’s Seaside Lagoon with another exciting musical lineup featuring artists who embody Southern California’s iconic beach culture. Most people are aware of the fact that The Wailers are a reggae band that was at one point led by the greatest reggae artist of all-time, Bob Marley. After his passing in 1981, the band decided to spread his messages and continue to inspire people in his honor. Thank goodness that they prevailed, and the band founded by Marley, Peter Tosh, and Bunny Livingston lives on. Bassist, Aston “Family Man” Barrett, has been a constant in the band from the beginning with Marley to the present, and he even added his son, Aston Barrett Jr. to play drums currently.

Kaya Fest 2019 has just announced that Kes the Band has been added to the line-up.  When Kes the Band hits the stage, nobody ever stays in their seat.  Their music and high energy performance creates an infectious excitement that can never be denied.  Inspired by their native melting pot nation of Trinidad and Tobago, Kes fuses together a unique blend OF SOCA, calypso, reggae AND POP to bring the sounds of the Caribbean to the world stage.

On February 25th, the eight-time GRAMMY-winning musician Stephen “Ragga” Marley kicked off an intimate acoustic U.S. tour in support of his latest 5-track EP, One Take: Acoustic Jams, out November 2018 on the Marley family’s Ghetto Youths International imprint. For one month, the 23-city run will span the South, Southwest and West Coast.
