Dogs In A Pile

Phish will return to Madison Square Garden for four nights from December 28-31, and Volume.com is offering free live streams of three of CEG Presents’ annual Phish After-Party series shows featuring Eggy, Prince/Bowie, and Dogs in a Pile live from The Cutting Room in New York City.

After a dazzling 2022 campaign, Northlands Music and Arts Festival is thrilled to announce its return to Swanzey, NH, June 16-17, 2023. The forthcoming event, celebrating its second year, will see over thirty regional and nationally touring acts perform on the palatial fairground nestled in the heart of southern New Hampshire. Headlining acts will include veteran Colorado jam sextet The String Cheese Incident, Phish bassist Mike Gordon, Goose acoustic offshoot Orebolo, and high-octane rockers Andy Frasco and the U.N.

The time honored tradition of bands playing after Phish was alive and well in Denver, Colorado, as not one, but two bands kept the party going upon the conclusion of the Dick's Sporting Good Stadium event at both Cervantes Masterpiece Ballroom and Cervantes Other Side last Friday night.

Veteran Vermont jam quartet Twiddle will ring in the new year with a concert at The State Theater in Portland, ME. The one-night concert event is the band’s first NYE event at the historic southern Maine locale in their eighteen-year history. Ascending NJ-based Dogs in a Pile, currently scheduled to support over twenty dates on Twiddle’s recently announced fall tour, will perform an opening set.

The Peach Music Festival casually moved into day four, with the Black Crowes and The Word headlining this final day. Clear skies allowed the music to rage with out a hitch. Many folks left early today, and the crowd density was much less.

Catskill Mountain Jubilee is returning to Blackthorne Resort in East Durham for its second annual event this Aug. 11 to 14. This year features four nights of music, with two full performances from Dark Star Orchestra Fri. Aug 12 and Sat. Aug 13, two sets from The Disco Biscuits Sun. Aug. 14, plus Chali 2na and Cut Chemist on Thu. Aug 11.

On Sunday, July 10th, emergent northeast jam quintet Dogs in a Pile will host its inaugural golf outing at the picturesque Bel Aire Golf Course in Wall Township, NJ.

Northlands is ramping up and promises to be the biggest event in the region, with 15 bands over multiple stages.

“We super excited about this year,” says Northlands Director Seth McNally.  “We’ve curated a fantastic diversity of genres, basically an entire season worth of dynamic bands and lined them all up for one fantastic weekend of music.”

The Baltimore based jam quartet Pigeons Playing Ping Pong closed out the second date of a two night stand at the Brooklyn Bowl Philadelphia in Philadelphia, Pa on Saturday night with their signature blend of psychedelic funk and an unparalleled energetic vibrancy. Despite a venue change and an opening band cancellation, they soldiered on and delivered a tasty show that included a combination of new and old songs, as well as a bust out.
