Whatever you do, don’t go to Shoe Fest. Camp Shaw Waw Nas See is basically forgettable. The string-based bands all play at their own slots with no overlapping music. You’ll hate it.

“Welcome home, Terrapin Nation,” Phil Lesh proclaimed on July 9 to the large crowd before him on the expansive, lush lawn of McNears Beach Park on the shores of San Pablo Bay in San Rafael, Calif. Lesh, co-founder of the Grateful Dead and now 83, joined the so-called Terrapin All-Stars for the closing set of a first-ever, one-day Sunday Daydream festival, which began in the early morning with an aptly named Turtle Trot that included 5K, 10K, and kids races.

Borderland Festival, one of the region’s most popular music and art festivals, makes its return to Knox Farm State Park, just 15 minutes from downtown Buffalo, September 15th through the 17th.  That’s right – now a three-day festival starting on Friday, Borderland will celebrate its fifth year with more than 20 bands on 2 stages.

Coinciding with the launch of their North American spring tour (full list of dates below), Grammy-Award-winning guitarist Eric Krasno and Grammy-Award-winning drummer Stanton Moore will release Krasno Moore Project: Book of Queens, digitally on March 17 via Concord Jazz. King Canyon is the supergroup collaboration between Eric Krasno, Otis McDonald, and Mike Chiavaro. They are proud to announce their self-titled debut album due out on January 13, 2023, on Mixto Records. The album features notable guests including Derek Trucks and Son Little and has been getting praise from critics and peers including Khruangbin, John Mayer and Adrian Quesada of the Black Pumas.
 

King Canyon, the supergroup collaboration consisting of Eric Krasno, Otis McDonald, and Mike Chiavaro are excited to release their newest single “Ice & Fire” with Son Little on December 2. The new single comes out ahead of the self-titled debut album due out early 2023. So far King Canyon have a few singles including “Mulholland” featuring Derek Trucks, with Will Blades on organ; and their debut single “Keep On Movin.”
