Euforquestra

Resiliency marked the opening of the Rhythms on the Rio Riverside Fest this past Saturday. After the spring fires, the summer monsoons hit the region hard, coloring the Rio Grande with black runoff from the burn scars higher in the mountains and swelling the waters into a rushing torrent. More of those rains hit the festival late afternoon creating some scrambling between the sound crew and the bands and forcing festivalgoers under any available tarps and canopies.

Euforquestra celebrates 10 years of making music and making people dance by returning to the Midwest, where it all began. The band’s first show ever took place at The Green Room in Iowa City, IA, on April 20, 2003. On this 10th anniversary, Eufórquestra hits Gabe’s in Iowa City on April 19 and Wooly’s in Des Moines on April 20, among other Midwest stops, then return to Colorado to join SOJA at The Ogden Theatre in Denver and closing out the spring at Hodi’s Half Note in Fort Collins.

Chicago, IL (January 18th, 2013) Shoe Fest will return to Camp Shaw-waw-nas-see in Manteno, IL for September 6-8, 2013.

If there’s any band out there that will make you go out on a school night and shake it, its Fort Collins based Euforquestra. Hell, I was running a fever that night and dragged my ass down to the party. Unfortunately I missed the first opening act Boom Chicken and most of Jet Edison’s set.

Dave Papuga from the Grateful Web had the pleasure of interviewing Euforquestra's Mike Tallman as a preview to their upcoming show at the Fox Theater in Boulder on October 12th; Euforquestra is a genre-spanning force on the local music scene, as well as a force on the national touring scene...
