Infamous Stringdusters

Following on the heels of their win for "Best Bluegrass Album" at the 2018 GRAMMYs, progressive bluegrass pioneers THE INFAMOUS STRINGDUSTERS are announcing a special co-headlining show with their friends YONDER MOUNTAIN STRING BAND at Colorado's famed Red Rocks Amphitheatre on Saturday, August 4. They'll be joined by special guests THE EARLS OF LEICESTER and HORSESHOES & HAND GRENADES.

It's back! We're thrilled to announce that the 4th Annual Rex Foundation Fire on the Mountain Vertical Challenge takes place in Squaw Valley April 6, and registration is now open!

"Festival Family". You see the term used in practically all fest promo, and here at John Hartford Memorial Festival we are proud to live it, with you. Hopefully by now you have attended JHMF, maybe even all previous 7 years. We are a family friendly, kid friendly, dog friendly, jam friendly, just plain friendly festival and we strive to reach the right number of folks for your maximum comfort.

For decades the onset of Spring meant gathering at the Spirit of the Suwannee Music Park in Live Oak, Florida for a weekend of fun, family, Bluegrass and string music. A beloved tradition continues as the picturesque grounds play host to a new take on a classic family-friendly gathering with the 2nd Annual Suwannee Spring Reunion taking place Thursday through Sunday, March 22 – 25, 2018.

Two progressive bluegrass titans shared a co-billing last weekend at The UC Theatre in Berkeley, California. Infamous Stringdusters hosted a diverse two-night run beginning last Thursday with Keller Williams and Grateful Gospel. Fans that evening were treated to an array of Grateful Dead classics augmented by a joint group of Keller and the Dusters.

Jamgrass stalwarts THE INFAMOUS STRINGDUSTERS will wrap up a busy 2017 with special New Year's shows in Berkeley, CA and Aspen, CO.  The band will perform two co-headlining shows at UC Berkeley with Keller Williams and Grateful Grass (12/28) and Leftover Salmon (12/29).  They'll then head to Aspen for a special "evening with" NYE performance to ring in 2018.  Doors open at 7:45 PM with an open bar (wine and beer) as well as light appetizers until the concert starts at 9:30 PM. A midnight complimentary champagne toast during the ball drop will follow the concert.

With a non-stop summer touring schedule already in progress, THE INFAMOUS STRINGDUSTERS are now announcing a new string of tour dates to run throughout the Fall. The Grammy-nominated progressive bluegrass group will be joined by friends and fellow road warriors Leftover Salmon, Keller Williams and The Travelin' McCourys, as well as Pert Near Sandstone, Midnight North, and Ryan Young & Erik Berry of Trampled by Turtles, among others.

The last day of Music on the Mesa 2017 was bright and sunny as I walked over to the Patio Stage to hear local Norteno singer/songwriter Chris Arellano. I’m embarrassed to say, though I follow Nuevo Mexico ranchera music, I hadn’t heard Chris’ work before. He and his brother Rodney, along with local pedal steel player Scott Harris, treated us with more music than his one-hour set because Western Centuries broke down and couldn’t make their time slot.
