Two of the most buzzed about bands on the scene, Kung Fu and Twiddle, are joining forces for a twelve night co-headlining run kicking off April 1 in Buffalo, NY. The bands will take turns closing each night but to keep things interesting, it will not be announced in advance. Fans will have to arrive early to find out who takes the stage first.

unk-fusion quintet Kung Fu is excited to announce plans for their fourth annual Toys for Tots Holiday Spectacular at Toad’s Place in New Haven, CT. Since launching the annual event, the band has helped to collect and donate more than $13,000 in new and unwrapped toys to area hospitals and organizations.
Kung Fu has announced a fall 2014 tour that is set to kick off next month. The Connecticut-based funk-fusion group will begin their outing on October 16 with a show at The 8×10 in Baltimore. The five-piece will then make their way across the Northeast, Midwest and South, including a stop at New Orleans’ famed MoMs Ball on Halloween night and then Suwannee Hulaween.
Kung Fu has released their highly anticipated sophomore album, Tsar Bomba, featuring 12 original songs including fan favorites “Do The Right Thing,” “Hollywood Kisses,” and “Snaggle.” The band took their time on this album, recording it slowly over 18 months at Gold Coast studios and the result is a perfect example of their unique sonic contribution to the music scene. Blurring the lines between electro-jazz-fusion and ‘70s-style street fighter funk, Tsar Bomba captures the band’s musical prowess with a delightful sense of creativity and musicianship.
Presented by Stanlee Ventures, the eighth annual Camp Barefoot Music & Arts takes place August 21-23 in Bartow, WV.
Arguably the Northeast’s two most up-and-coming, improvisational ridden bands on the scene today, Dopapod and Kung Fu will be joining forces to tour Colorado at the end of January 2014. The run will include stops in Boulder and Breckenridge, and feature two STS9 after-party shows in Denver. While the two bands will swap closing sets, the order of each night will not be announced.
Kung Fu have announced their Fall tour dates and Winter festival schedule taking them up and down the East Coast. The five-piece will also be playing a Phish after party on October 26 in Worchester, a Halloween show at Gramercy Theater in NYC with Twiddle, Bear Creek Music Festival on November 14 & 15, Jungle Jam IV in Jaco, Costa Rica January 16-19 and AURA Music & Arts Festival February 14-16.
Three weeks ago Kung Fu’s dear friend Kevin Shea was struck by a drunk driver, and today he lies in a coma with his wife Cecelia and children Jack and Vanessa waiting patiently by his side. On Friday, August 23rd, the band is holding a concert at Toad’s Place in New Haven, CT to celebrate his fighting spirit and to raise money for his family.
